Meercat Associates procurement collaboration with Chichester BID

To highlight potential savings and perhaps alleviate some overhead costs for BID Levy Payers, the BID team have begun working on a project that could result in savings on many of your business related costs.

Over the last 9 years, Meercat Associates Ltd (a procurement consultancy) have been working with many other Business Improvement Districts to provide procurement and environmental services. They have now been tasked with saving Chichester city centre businesses money on such services. To date Meercat have delivered over £6m in savings to over 10,000 members across 91 BIDs nationally.

Meercat’s aim is to implement a successful BID community buying group for Chichester businesses to cover a range of common business commodities including energy, telecoms and waste and the savings that this can bring to the table will go towards offsetting your levy costs.

Meercat will act as a savings advisory service – their dedicated team of savings and support consultants will be able to analyse all your billing and provide an easy to understand benchmark report detailing all the savings available to your business.

Meercat can assist businesses to make savings on energy, telecoms, merchant fees, testing and safety, stationery and print, waste and recycling, security, water, insurance, IT services, training and cleaning.

Meercat will be contacting all Chichester BID Levy paying businesses and making appointments, where appropriate to visit you regarding this service from late January 2019, so please keep your eyes peeled for notification that they are coming – your BID Team will remind you closer to the time.
