Chichester BID has teamed up with Debbie Ford from The Chichester Social on a free workshop for BID members on Wednesday 12th June between 09.30am–11.30am.
If you’ve ever struggled with social media for your business, then this workshop is for you. From understanding channels to content creation, this free introductory workshop will provide all the tools that you need to improve how you use platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Debbie will also share some of her favourite tools that’ll make it easier for you or your team to manage your social media channels.
The workshop will also cover:
- How your channels present themselves
- How should you sound
- What can you talk about
- What’s the difference between @ and #
- How you can get value for money by repurposing/reposting
- How to manage cross-posting
- How to be creative
- What to measure
- How to create a simple content plan
Here’s a quick tip to ensure you don’t fall foul of cross-posting i.e when sharing your posts from Instagram to Facebook:
Who have you mentioned in the post – make sure they see it – The @ name won’t work, as usernames behave differently on Facebook, so edit the post to ensure that the intended supplier/connection/business etc still gets the notification and has a chance to like/comment/share your post. It’s all about the reach and engagement.
Website links – got a CTA (call to action, what do you want your visitors to do next)? – Instagram doesn’t (yet) allow links in posts, but Facebook does, so take advantage of this! Grab that moment they are reading and interested in your post to take them to next step, whether this is visiting your website, buying online or booking an appointment with you.
This workshop is FREE and for BID Levy Payers only but spaces are limited, please contact [email protected] to book your space.
