Last week Chichester BID launched a new business directory to help support the many businesses who have had to close their doors and adapt to the current restrictions put in place by the government in response to COVID-19.
The directory lists businesses that are still operating and includes dedicated sections for retail, food and drink, wellbeing and education as well as service businesses. By collating the extensive offering still available in Chichester, the BID hope to help support local businesses and encourage consumers to continue to shop local throughout the pandemic.
In the last few weeks many companies have adapted and evolved in order to continue trading whilst also serving the local community. From online offerings and food deliveries to virtual lessons, the directory covers the whole Chichester district.
“We are delighted at the positive response our business directory has received both from local businesses and also the general public,” comments Jeanette Hockley, Operations Manager at Chichester BID. “The directory is still very much an ongoing project and so we encourage any Chichester district business still offering a service during this time to get in touch and let us know. Our businesses are an important part of our beautiful city, and so it is vital that we rally together to help them survive these unprecedented times.”
The directory and other supportive measures and information for businesses can be found on our website. If you are a Chichester district business currently offering a service and would like to be included, please email [email protected].
