Helping St Wilfrid’s Pay For A Day

This February, the heart of Chichester is pulsing with generosity as businesses in the city centre rally behind St Wilfrid’s Hospice. The goal? To raise a crucial £26,000, the amount it costs per day to run St Wilfrid’s Hospice and provide specialist end-of-life care to over 330 local lives in the community.

With February having an extra day this year, we at Chichester BID are backing the charity’s Pay for a Day campaign to help them pay for an extra day of vital care. The entire community is invited to participate in this extraordinary leap year effort, with various events and fundraising activities planned.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s happening in Chichester and where you can contribute to this noble cause:

City Centre Extravaganza on Friday 16th February

Mark your calendars for a special day on the 16th, where the St Wilfrid’s Hospice team will be in the city and businesses will be running in-store fundraising events and collections. Also, don’t miss the chance to meet Wilf, the St Wilfrid’s mascot at their store on East Street.

Businesses Going the Extra Mile:

Nationwide: Purchase raffle tickets for £1 a strip to enter the Valentine’s Hamper draw. The initiative is running until Friday, 16th February.

M&S, North and East Street: Volunteers will be collecting donations every Saturday throughout February from 11 am to 3 pm at both East & North Street stores. Percy Pig will make a special appearance on the 16th February for more smiles and selfie opportunities.

Taco Box, Draper’s Yard: Throughout February, they’re generously donating £1 from each sale of Churros or Pina Coladas.

Sahara, Little London: From Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th, engage in their lucky dip by purchasing £2 tickets for a chance to win vouchers worth £5, £10, £15, or £20.

Lloyds Bank, East Street: Enjoy a sweet treat at their Cake and Craft stall on Friday, 16th February.

Buzby & Blue, The Hornet: Support their Blue Cake sale, and witness staff donning blue attire on Wednesday, 21st February.

HSBC, East Street: Staff will be having a dress-down day on Friday, 16th February.

Blue Spire Accounts: Staff will be wearing blue and making a donation.

Bunch Florist: Bunch is adopting St Wilfrid’s Hospice as its business charity for 2024. 

Crafty BisHop: Craft Bishop us holding a Beer Pong event on Friday 16th with a £1 entry costs.  They will also be asking for donations to take part in their  free quiz night.

 – Creations: Creations will be running araffle until 29th February. Staff will also be wearing blue on Friday 16th and will have a special blue window display.

 – Jigsaw: Jigsaw will be running an amazing raffle to win a handbag, starting Friday 16th February for one week.
