Roman Paintings with Maureen at CFT
May 28 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Get ready for a fun-filled May half term. On Wednesday 28 May join us to create a work of art with line, wash and ink painting techniques.
The art session will be led by an experienced art teacher who works extensively in schools with pupils of all ages. The workshop will be guided throughout to enable you to create an individual painting which has explored the variety of mediums. Price includes materials.
This event is part of Chichester’s award-winning Roman Week which takes place every May half term and celebrates Chichester’s rich Roman heritage with a series of district-wide events designed to engage visitors of all ages. From re-enactments, talks and workshops to guided tours, family activities and crafts, there’s something for everyone.
Did you know that Chichester was first established as Noviomagnus Reginorum? It translates to ‘New market of the proud people’. The Roman legacy can be found across the city, including magnificent features such as the Roman walls surrounding the city and the Roman bathhouse located in The Novium Museum.
Tickets cost £10 and can be booked here.
