SUMMARY:Wilfrid the Seal Trail at Chichester Cathedral
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by St. Wilfrid’s historic journey from Selsey to Chichester\, Wilfrid will lead young explorers on an adventure through the Cathedral\, uncovering treasures and fascinating history. \nFamilies are invited to seek out artefacts\, such as flowers pressed by a soldier between the pages of a Bible in the trenches of WWI and 800-year-old rings worn by Bishops during the 12th century. Led by Wilfrid the Seal\, children and their adults will delight in uncovering the rich and vibrant tales behind these historic items. \nIdeal for all ages\, for younger children there is an eye spy game\, and everyone will enjoy making (and eating) the 18th century rice pudding recipe once back home. \nOnce you’ve completed your trail don’t forget to head to our shop or speak to a member of staff to retrieve your sticker prize! \nThe trail can be collected from the Visitors’ Desk or at points around the Cathedral and will be running from 7th April – 15th November 2025.

Why not visit Chichester Cathedral’s Chichester950 Light Experience installation by Luxmuralis before dropping into the Pallant House Gallery Studio for this self-led activity available all day. DESCRIPTION:Kick off your Christmas festivities at the Starlight Trail Chichester. \nJoin The Novium Museum\, Pallant House Gallery\, Chichester Library and Chichester Cathedral for a festive family afternoon of craft and fun. \nTaking place on Saturday 22 November 2025 from 1pm to 4:15pm. Book your place and get a Starlight Trail passport and make your way to the different venues where you can create a lantern to light your route and take part in festive crafts and activities. \nChoose where to start your afternoon and then visit the other venues. Starting points and crafts are: \n\nThe Novium Museum – Christmas wreath\nChichester Library – Peg doll angels and elves\nChichester Cathedral – Stained glass window\nPallant House Gallery – Foil tree decorations.\n\nYou will have 1 hour at your chosen starting point to make a lantern and craft. You will then have 45 minutes at each of the other venues to complete a festive craft. \n\n\nTickets cost £10 per child and can be booked here.
