With a vast selection of Liberty London Tana Lawn fabrics at your fingertips\, you can fashion a one-of-a-kind tie for yourself\, your wedding party\, or a loved one. It is a great skill to have and once you know how\, you’ll be making them for everyone! \nAbout your Teacher: As well as being an incredible designer\, pattern cutter and seamstress\, Maria is also an excellent teacher\, who’s passion for sewing is infectious. \nClass Size: Maximum class size of 6 \nSkills: Suitable for intermediates – lots of hand sewing! \nMaterials: You will need to provide 70cm of fabric\, 70cm of chad\, and thread in a suitable colour. All of which can be purchased from Clothkits on the day of your workshop. \nSuitable for lightweight cottons such as Tana Lawn. DESCRIPTION:Join glass artist Karen Ongley-Snook to craft a sparkling festive garland of decorated and tinselled glass pieces. \nStep into the festive spirit with a hands-on workshop exploring the beauty of decorated glass. Karen will guide you through the process of decorating tinselled glass pieces\, using techniques such as gilding\, scraffito and masking to capture shimmering\, translucent effects. \nBack by popular demand following the Dora Carrington inspired ‘Tinselled Glass’ workshop earlier this year\, you’ll create a set of up to five diamond – or square – shaped pieces\, each drilled and ready to string into your own striking glass garland. All essential materials are provided\, and you’re welcome to bring along your own decorative foils or papers to make your design even more personal. \nBy the end of the session you’ll have a beautiful handmade garland to take home\,  a unique festive decoration to brighten your celebrations year after year.  \nYou can pre-order a delicious lunch from Pallant Café for £13\, which will be delivered to you during the break.
