Local Christmas Spirit

Is it too early to start talking about Christmas? Here at Chichester BID, we don’t think so! We are not referring to the commercial aspects, but the opportunity to enjoy simple, festive family experiences and help support our local community too.

Chichester businesses are not immune to the challenges we are all facing, so to help keep our city thriving, this Christmas we want to encourage you all to seek out experiences and gift opportunities right here in the city, on your doorstep. Our businesses are depending on you, so why not make a pledge to shop, gift and celebrate local this Christmas – we promise you Chichester will not disappoint!

There is much to look forward to in the city this year. On the 26 th  November, we are unveiling brand-new Christmas lights that will adorn the city’s streets and also a magical Nutcracker Christmas Trail. Look out for the five cheeky Christmas light characters scattered around the city! There will also be a special Nutcracker Christmas Experience Day for families to take part in as well as twilight shopping evenings and the much-anticipated return of a traditional Christmas Market.

At Chichester BID we are determined not to let the cost-of-living crisis dampen Christmas spirits and so we are filling Chichester with memory-making experiences for everyone to enjoy for free! Our city is beautiful all year round but at Christmas time it is a must-see. Join us to soak up the festive atmosphere and discover the amazing array of restaurants, bars, markets and independent shops which together form the charm of Chichester at Christmas.
