The FIRST EVER Pride event is happening in Chichester on Saturday 28th May from 12pm – 6pm. Taking place at the leafy-green Chichester College campus, this ‘festival style’, family friendly afternoon will feature a wonderfully diverse range of entertainment from drag artists and steel bands to choirs and more. There will also be a bouncy castle and market stalls as well as delicious food and drink for festival-goers to enjoy throughout the afternoon.
This debut Pride event is a historic moment for Chichester and the surrounding area’s LGBT+. It has received huge support and sponsorship from many of Chichester’s city centre businesses including Charles Peck, The Richard Tildesley Practice, Q Hair and Beauty and Wiley Publishing.
Performers already booked include London Gay Men’s Chorus ensemble, Cherry Liquor, Clare Deloon, CAOS Musical Productions, Amber Sands, Alfie Ordinary and more!
The event is committed to providing an inclusive environment for everyone, including children with a drag queen story time planned.
The Pride event will close at 6pm, but the party will continue at several official host venues in the city centre where, those who wish, can dance into the night at events themed to coincide with Pride. We will add these venues to this blog post as soon as we find out!
Tickets are just £5.50 for adults, £3.50 for ages 12 – 17 and FREE for under 12s.
