If you witness someone experiencing a cardiac arrest, follow these steps:

1. Dial 999 or instruct someone to do so.

2. Start CPR immediately, if you’re trained to do so.

3. Ask someone to fetch the nearest defibrillator while you continue CPR.

4. Follow the defibrillator’s audio and visual instructions. Modern defibrillators are designed for ease of use and will guide you through the process.
