The markets are promoted by Chichester District Council and are operated on the Council’s behalf by Bray Associates.

For the Wednesday Market, Bray Associates has been granted Street Trading Consent which permits 50 market stalls and sets out the conditions under which the market operates. The market is now operating to capacity but there is still potential for new stallholders to join.

Stalls include green grocers, general and outdoor clothing, shoes, handbags, belts, scarfs, soaps, garden plants, flowers, jewellery, bread, cakes, sweets, cheese, fresh fish, olives, eggs, sausages, coffee, greetings cards and paper, hand-made cards, fudge, coffee beans, hand-made cushions, household goods, garden plants, e-cigarettes, watches, phone accessories, tool sharpening, crockery and kitchenware, pet food, disability scooters and hot food/catering.
