Chichester city centre will host a series of traditional Christmas Markets in 2024 to add some festive cheer and enhance its already wonderful array of shopping and eating experiences.The city’s markets are a great opportunity to connect with local artisans, support the community and create precious memories with your loved ones. Whether you’re searching for that perfect gift or simply want to soak in the joyful atmosphere, Chichester’s Christmas Markets are a must-visit.
The Chichester Festive Market, 7 – 15 December
Chichester’s main Christmas Market commences on Saturday 7 December and will take place daily until Sunday 15 December along the pedestrianised East and North Streets. A wide variety of stalls selling Christmas gifts and novelties will be accompanied by a mouth-watering selection of festive food and drink from local vendors. Open Times: 9:00am – 5.30pm every day except 9:00am – 7:00pm on 12 Dec and 10:00am – 4:00pm on 8 & 15 Dec 2024.

Friday 22 November, 9am – 2pm – The twice-monthly Chichester Farmers’ Market always hosts a wonderful selection of local produce and unique gifts to help you prepare for the big day.
Sunday 24 November, 10am – 4pm – The final Cross Market and More of 2024. Here, you’ll find a selection of locally crafted treasures, from textiles and jewellery to homemade food, prints, and more.
Saturday 30 November, 10am –5pm – Discover a wonderful Indoor Christmas Market at The Novium Museum, Tower Street. Local stallholders will be selling festive arts, crafts and gifts suitable for the whole family. Free entry.
Sunday 1 December, 11am – 3pm – Enjoy the popular Edes House Open House and Christmas Mini Market at Edes House on West Street.
Friday 6 December, 9am – 2pm – The penultimate chance to peruse the popular Chichester Farmers’ Market on East and North Street.
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December, 10am – 4pm – Vintage and Very Nice returns to the city with a two-day Christmas Extravaganza at the Assembly Rooms on North Street
Sunday 8 December, 10am – 2pm – Wild City–Chichester Creatives Christmas Market at The Duke & Rye. Explore a treasure trove of delightful gifts, crafted by talented local makers.
Saturday 7 – Sunday 15 December, 9am – 5.30pm – A feast for all the senses, Chichester city centre will host a two week festive market in East Street and North Street.
Friday 20 December, 9am – 2pm – The final Chichester Farmer’s Market for 2024 – perfect for shoppers who enjoy keeping Christmas more spontaneous and traditional.
The Christmas Tree Stroll, 23 November – 31 December
Whilst enjoying Chichester’s festive ambience, don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a winter wander around the city and discover all the beautiful trees on display as part of our Christmas Tree Stroll. Featuring seven unique tree sculptures specially created by local artists using sustainable materials, the Chichester Christmas Tree Stroll is inspired by Chichester Festival Theatre’s ‘Hey! Christmas Tree’ production. The trail is ideal for all ages and you can vote for your favourite tree by snapping a selfie with it and posting it on social media using the hashtag #ChristmasInChichester.
