Summer Art Club: Pet Portraits at Pallant House Gallery

You will use Lucian Freud’s Wanted Poster (2001) as inspiration to design your own fabulous ‘Wanted’ pet portrait!
In this Summer Art Club workshop, you will join artist Louise Dennis where you will learn how to create a printed ‘Wanted’ poster, using etching tools, recycled Tetra Pak cartons and lots of imagination! Maybe your pet will be wanted because they’ve been naughty or perhaps they are just one you’d like to own! We will make copies of your print so you can experiment with hand colouring and dyeing your poster with tea to make it look old.
You may wish to bring a photo of your pet for inspiration but don’t worry if you don’t have one – we will have lots of images you can use.
What is Summer Art Club?
This is a series of studio workshops for children, exploring a range of media in a fun and friendly environment. These workshops are led by experienced artist educators who specialise in working with children and young people. They are designed for children aged 7+ with a selection of dates across the summer holidays.
Parents or carers are not required to stay for these workshops, although you are welcome to do so should you prefer.
Please provide a packed lunch for your child.
There are six sessions to choose from. Pay £22 per session or mix and match any three for £60. Just add your selected workshops to the basket and the discount will be applied at checkout.
