1) Light Up Chichester & The Afterparty

Christmas officially kicks off in Chichester on Saturday 23rd November. Join in the countdown to 5pm when Chichester’s city centre lights will be officially switched on by the cast of Chichester Festival Theatre’s Cinderella at the Assembly Rooms on North Street. Enjoy a Pop Up Food Market, Light Show, Snow Machine, Stilt Walkers, Live Music, and entertainment.

The Christmas cheer continues from 5pm with festive fun at several venues across the city including delicious hot chocolates at Robin’s Nest Cafe, Christmas crafts, face painting and glitter tattoos at Trents on South Street and a chance to visit the Ice Cave and meet Elsa, Olaf and The Grinch at The Chantry between 6pm – 8pm.

2) Festive Family Day – Saturday 14 December 

Embark on a festive adventure around the city centre with an array of entertainment along the way! Between 11am and 3pm, uncover a host of free Christmas crafts, activities and storytelling, plus a special festive treat from V2 on East Street. Plan your day. 

3) Christmas Trails

Launching on Saturday 23 November will be a spectacular Christmas Tree Stroll. Visitors can discover beautifully decorated Christmas trees located around Chichester city centre, with a special highlight of seven unique Christmas tree sculptures created by local artists using sustainable materials. The sculptures have been specially-commissioned by Chichester BID to help bring a sense of creativity and environmental awareness to the festive celebrations.

Another trail taking place on Saturday 23 November is the popular Starlight Trail with The Novium Museum, Chichester Library and Pallant House Gallery. Create a star lantern and take part in festive crafts and activities, collecting stamps along the way. Find out more and book your place here.

4) Festivities in Priory Park 

Chichester District Council will be making Christmas magical in Chichester’s beautiful Priory Park with a special programme of festive events in The Guildhall, including a Christmas Pantomime, Silent Discos, Festive Family Crafts, Storytelling and more. Find out more here.

5) Christmas at Chichester Festival Theatre

The world-renowned Chichester Festival Theatre offers captivating performances of ‘Hey! Christmas Tree’ and ‘Cinderella’.
