Celebrating Chichester’s Champions of Education: Nominate Your Teacher of the Year!
Excitement is brewing in Chichester with the launch of a Teacher of the Year competition, sponsored by GiftRound. The competition launch is a testament to the incredible impact teachers have on our lives and the future of our children. This initiative is not only a celebration of educational excellence but also an opportunity for us to give back to those teachers who give us and our children so very much.
Why Nominate?
Teachers do more than educate; they also inspire, mentor, and shape the future of our children. In Chichester, we are surrounded by some of the most dedicated and hardworking teachers in the country and the Teacher of the Year competition is our chance to shine a light on these unsung heroes.
With a total of £1250 in Chichester Gift Cards up for grabs, this competition offers a unique opportunity to reward not just one outstanding teacher, but also their school, and you – the nominator! The winning teacher will receive a £500 gift card, with an additional £500 gift card for their school, and one lucky nominator will also win a £250 gift card. These cards can be spent with over 170 businesses in Chichester, supporting our local economy while also celebrating their achievements.
Who Can Be Nominated?
Whether it’s a primary school teacher who made learning fun, a secondary school tutor who went the extra mile, a special educational needs teacher who provided unparalleled support, an early years teacher who nurtured curiosity, a teaching assistant who made a difference, or a headteacher who leads with compassion – all are eligible for the Teacher of the Year award.
How to Nominate?
Nominating is as easy as it is meaningful. Simply visit teacheroftheyear.co.uk, provide the name of the teacher you believe deserves the honour, and share why they have made such a positive impact on pupils, their school, or the community.
The Heart of Our Community
Helen Marshall, CEO and Chair of Chichester BID, captures the spirit of the competition perfectly, saying, “We know how many hard-working teachers there are in Chichester and this competition is a chance for people to nominate a teacher who has had a positive impact on pupils, their school, or their community. £1250 in Chichester Gift Cards is a great prize and the flexibility and choice on offer through the card gives the Teacher of the Year, their school, and one person who nominated them lots of options for how to spend their gift cards.”
A Celebration of Our Teaching Staff
This initiative goes beyond mere recognition, it’s a thank you to those who dedicate their lives to teaching. Join in the celebration! The deadline for nominations is midnight on the 31st August 2024, and the winner will be announced in September.
